HARP – Home Affordable Refinance Program
Our home finance and mortgage professionals know that many homeowners would like to take advantage of the lower interest rates that are currently available, but they cannot do so because they have little or no equity in their homes. MortgageDepot has a solution with the Home Affordable Refinance Program through the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
We want you to have the benefits of a HARP refinance
We recommend HARP for any of our borrowers who feel trapped and unable to get out from under mortgages with high interest rates or variable rates that never seem to go down. As long as a borrower is not in arrears in the payments on their current loans, a HARP refinance through MortgageDepot can offer benefits, including:
- Lower interest rates
- Fixed-rate loans
- Lower monthly payments
- Shorter-term options
- The opportunity to build equity
HARP offers simple eligibility guidelines
The MortgageDepot professionals have years of experience assisting homeowners to refinance through HARP. We can help anyone who meets the following eligibility requirements:
- Current mortgage loans are owned by Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae
- The home is a primary residence, a single-unit second home or an investment property consisting of no more than four units
- A payment history on current mortgage loans showing no more than one payment more than 30-days late in the past 12 months
- Current loans on the property were originated on or before May 31, 2009
We can help you to refinance even if there is little or no equity in your home as long as you meet the HARP eligibility guidelines.
Call us even if you have been turned down by a lender
If you have spoken to a lender about a HARP refinance and were told that you were not eligible, contact the mortgage professionals at MortgageDepot. Some lenders are simply not familiar with the HARP guidelines and turn away borrowers who are eligible for the program. Let us review the program and its eligibility requirements with you to see if we can help.
